March’s Charity: The PMA Bike Ride

Greetings All!
The Munchausen Society has been working hard in preparation for the Dark Side of the Con. As usual, we plan to put on a Charity Munchausen Show, and the charity we plan to raise money for is the PMA Bike Ride.
The PMA Bike Ride is a charity that bikes around the streets of Philadelphia with pizzas to feed the homeless.
Now usually, the PMA Bike ride operates as a monthly event, usually at the end of the month. The funds from DSOTC were going to fund the March 25th ride. However, Joe, the charity’s founder, just announced an ambitious idea to do a full week of rides, and he wants to kick this effort off on Pi Day, March 14th (3.14). Seeing that this is prior to DSOTC, The Munchausen Society is starting our vote pre-sale now.
If you make a donation to The PMA Bike Ride any time before now and Dark Side of the Con, you will get that many coins to use to vote for your favorite contestant in Celebrity Munchausen. All you have to do is produce proof of your donation (make your gofundme donation public enough for us to see, or a screen shot or print out of the confirmation), and that will count as your purchase at the event. Not only will each dollar get you one coin and one vote, but with this charity, each dollar means one slice of pizza for the homeless.
The link to donate is here:
don’t forget to leave a comment like “For the Baron!” to help us identify your donation in the list.
BTW, any performer is welcome to donate as well. Remember that the rule is that you have to give your coins to a representative in the audience who will decide how they get used.
Let’s dig deep and help this good cause.

The Munchausen Society Takes Care of its Own

Dear Friends and Fellow Adventurers,
It is a heavy heart that I must inform you all that a severe illness has befallen a member of The Munchausen Society. JR Whitcomb, aka Arson of Karnevil, needs surgery to remove a tumor on his neck. He has been a diligent contributor to our shows for years, and as such, he has helped to raise thousands for various charities. Now he is struggling to pay for the life saving surgery he desperately needs.
One of the many creeds that we live by in The Munchausen Society is that we take care of our own. It is in this spirit that I would like to reach out to the community for help. Please look to see what you can give. Any amount, no matter how small, adds up up in the long run.
Also, please share his gofundme page.:

The more attention it gets, the more people can give. Like I said, with enough people contributing, even the smallest amounts add up and matter.
Thank you all for your help on this.
With the utmost sincerity,
Dr. Zack of The Munchausen Society

Lehigh Valley Itz-A-Con

Greetings All!!!
The Munchausen Society is excited to announce that in less than 2 weeks, we will be going where no Munchausen has gone before!
What does that mean?
Quite simply, through the use of Quantum-temporal theory, the harnessing of otherworldly forces, and a well placed potato, we will be traveling to the 23rd century in order to host a story telling with the Klingon Crew of The IKV NasToj.
You can find the open temporal portal to take you to this show at the Itz-A-Con on Saturday, June 18th at 11:30 am.
The charity we will be raising money for is the Atlas Foundation for Autism. Since this charity has an online donation page, we will allow you to buy coins by making direct donations to the page as well as collecting the cash at the show.
The link for the Atlas foundation can be found here:

Steampunk World’s Fair Charity Announcement

Greetings All!

I wanted to announce that this year at the Steampunk World’s Fair, we will be raising money for The American Foundation For Suicide Prevention.

My brother does their Overnight Walk fundraiser every year That is him on the poster on the right), and we have decided to coordinate the donations through his fundraiser page.
The advantage of coordinating this way is that not only will attendees be able to use credit cards to buy their voting coins at the show, but people will also be able to pre-order voting coins. To use these features, you will need to include your real name with the donation you make and include the phrase “For the Baron!”Make sure that when you donate you don’t opt to block the visibility of your donation.

The donation page will list all donations and you will have proof of the number of voting coins you purchased. As usually you will get one coin per dollar donated and every dollar we raise will go straight to the charity.

See you guys on Saturday (5/14) evening and we hope you enjoy the show!

Steampunk World’s Fair 2015

Greeting Lords and Ladies,

We wanted to present to you a few videos from our show at this year’s Steampunk World’s Fair.

First, we have Professor Adam Smasher explaining the charity for which we were raising money this year.

Baron von Zipple told an interesting tale that raised a few eyebrows…

and Dean let us know there is more to prune juice than we could have imagined,  and in the process became the 2015 Steampunk World’s Fair champion!

There were plenty of other good stories, but our camera skills are still being refined, and we sadly were not able to properly record them. We hope to practice so that we can make sure to give proper credit and spotlight to all of our incredible storytellers and performers.
